Western Food @ Harbourfront – Banquet Foodcourt

Today’s lunch was at Banquet, a halal-foodcourt catering to the halal eating crowd of our multicultural and diverse sector of our society…… Apparently the foodcourt is managed by the Kopitiam Group who manages like almost 70% of all the foodcourts on this tiny red dot of ours.

JS and GW are especially accomodation to my new found hobby of taking food pictures before being able to devour their food properly. I think this hobby of mine is developing into a slight fetish of sorts…..Hopefully its not too much of an inconvienience to them in anyway as many of the foodshots really turned out very yummilicious even though they are your everyday food items like chicken rice, duck rice, one-ton noodles etc.

Thanks to everybody for all the advice and support along the way…..

What’s so special about this western food stall in this typical Halal foodcourt that you find like in almost every shopping centre all over the island?

No GW….. its not that they have halal pork…….

The special thing about this stall is that they serve the food freshly made and portions are reasonably large (enough to fill a large man like me) . Freshly made in the sense that they cook it when you order it, unlike some horrigible western foodstalls whereby they just heat up the food when some poor , innocent or unknowing customer orders from them. +1 for good practices.

They are so damn popular that they actually have a queue numbering system to manage the throngs of hungry customers like me during lunch hour .

Another plus point is that the prices are actually very value-for-money due to the large portions they give in relation to the standard pricing we pay for a foodcourt meal($6 for a chicken chop).

It’s not the first time that I am having the food here but its the first time that I’m blogging about it as well as shooting my lunch . hahaha.

The standard of the food has been pretty consistently good…. it has freshly fried french fries which are nice and crisp, chicken grilled on hot plate with generous servings of cooking oil; or if you prefered it freshly deep-fried in oil to your gluttonous delight. There’s the option to change your fried to rice as well if you prefer something more filling.

The vegetables and salads on the side are just garnishing for those pathetic fools who think that it give them a “balanced” diet…..-_-”

To round off , this place is stands out from the bland and generic food types that you are able to find in a friendly-neighbourhood foodcourts near you.

Our aim is to provide the finest products for our clients and we look forward to developing a long and mutually beneficial business relationship with our clients. Providing excellent food and related services to our clients is our top-most priority and passion.
